Maestro Echoplex UNKNOWN

Completely overhauled !

This is an odd Echoplex. There is no type on the case or on the unit and I cannot find anything about this Echoplex.

There is also no Maestro put on the unit but I asume it is a real Echoplex. Maybe it is one of the first models.

The whole unit has been overhauled.

All electrolytic capacitors have been replaced for the quality Panasonic 105 degree ones.

The heads have been polished, cleaned afterwards and demagnetised and are in very good condition, no worn out heads.

The unit has been biased and has a very nice feedback and self oscilation that is smooth.

The  guidance system of the slider has been oiled for smooth guidance.

The capstan of the motor has been oiled with nano oil.

Luckly NO cartridge in this unit but a short tapeloop ! No more hassle with rewinding the cartridge or buying a expensive cartridge !

With the slider you are not stuck to fixed echo times and you can do crazy echo slides just like a Dynacord or a HH tape echo.

Volume potmeter for the preamp, feedback potmeter and a volume potmeter for the echo.

Input and output 1/4 inch sockets and input/output DIN socket aswell.

NO footswitch input despite it says on the unit, very strangen ! On/Off switch for the motor/echo part, the preamp is still active.

The sound switch is a lo/hi pass filter. On you get treble with the echo and off you won't and the echo sounds somewhat 'warmer'

There is a little humm in the echo part, most of the tape echo's has this and you can always use a noisegate.

New tapeloop on the unit and 5 extra new tapeloops !

Sounds great again and very organic and lifelike.

Thank you for watching and see the test video !
